Trevor Bennett

Trevor's work has a humorist absorbed by the hierarchy of image and the consequences of arrangement and installations. He moves in and out of identificatble repredentatior their impact on narrative and composition changes. absurdity is embraced as a celebration of humour and unpredictability. The colour he uses is flamboyant and fun. The space between each sculpture is what he seems to be truly exploring and as a result of this question arise to him regarding narrative and context.
I don't feel Trevors work relates to anyone in particular.

Scott Bennett

Various forms of jewelry attracts Scott and he is intrigued by two separate materials stone and metal, and through these materials he plays around with both textures juxapostion them together, rough and pitted vs the polished shiny reflective. He emphasises the tension between beauty of an object and the corrupt power of lustful obsession with an object.
I like the concept on Scott's work and like the contrast he has with texture in his work and feel though the concept of his work relates to mine as I'm looking and the cold stone exterior vs the warm smooth childlike colour interior.

My current work

(unfinished)

My current work features memories from my childhood which i have zoomed in on a particular place which is King Johns Castle,Carlingford, Co.Louth.

From this i am recalling on memories to which i hold with my father.

Stone being my main source I'm dealing with the idea of a cold exterior of a stone holding a heart warming interior of a memory.

currently I'm playing around with the idea of holding a memory and also texture.
